Bill Kirby
Bill is not just your token elite sporting identity. He has a science background (UWA) and has successfully built up his own business, which now employs 25 staff. Bill has first hand insight into change management and leadership styles witnessed within the decade he was a member of the Australian Swimming Team.
In the early 1990’s, the Australian Swimming Team culture was that of a segregated, individual success focus and lacked any “one team culture”. Through leadership change and improvement, a team culture emerged so that by 2001 the Australian Swimming Team had a successful ‘One Team’ culture and were best in the world. The success of this team was not due to individual performances, but to the strong team focus and great leadership initiatives.
By experiencing leadership change, cultural shift and the challenges associated with it first hand, Bill has the unique perspective of which to draw from. Bill brings his experiences in science, elite sport, applied psychology and several years of running his own business to Meelup Managment. This together with his communication skills and engaging manner brings further in house resources to our company.
